Introduction meego version 1.0 on msi wind netbook

a few days ago, Meego released version 1.0 to the public. meego version 1.0 using Linux kernel 2.6.33, with features include:

  • Instant access to a Synchronized calendar, tasks, Appointments, and recently Used files.
  • Aggregation of your social networking content on one screen.
  • Google Chrome or Google Chromium as an alternative for a fast and rich Internet experience.
  • Btrfs (B-tree file system) as the default file system.
  • Universal Plug and Play (gUPnP).
  • Voice and data connectivity with Connman connection manager, Ofono telephony stack, and bluez Bluetooth.

Meego will be released every six months, and in october later, version 1.1 will support touch-based devices, like handsets, tablets, and in-vehicle infotainment systems.

Brad have introduce meego version 1.0 in a video, and he uses Wind U135 Netbook. Based on the information brad. he’s still not sure to use meego version 1.0, He states MeeGo That feels much snappier and more polished than the last version of Moblin he tested. but meego may be an option for your netbook.
